Thank God can only thank the creator

Full name is Peter Thankgod Ebimboi. However, he came to play in Bangladesh for the first time for Chittagong Abahani and got well known because of his name. However not only because of the name, but also because of the ability to score goals, this forward has gained fame.

He is almost certain to become the top scorer in the Premier League on his debut

Unless something miraculous happens, this striker who scored 20 goals is going to be the top scorer.

Thankgod was joint top scorer with Abahani Limited's Dorielton Gomez with 18 goals before taking the field against Bangladesh Police Football Club at Bhashashaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Comilla today.

In their last match, Dorieltonke was scattered with a pair of goals. His team Chittagong Abahani also won 3-2 against Police. The other goal of Chittagong Abahani was Augustin Agban.

Christian Kuaku and Amiruddin Sharifi scored one goal each for Police. With this victory, the Chittagong club has risen to the fifth place in the points list and Police is at number seven.

Post-match talk was that ThankGod's two hat-tricks as the league's top goalscorer was a near certainty. The reason why he cannot be called the highest goal scorer in the judgment of the book-pen is that four teams, including Mohammedan Sporting Club, have one match remaining. Mohammedan captain Suleiman Diabate is the fourth highest scorer with 17 goals.

Thank God, Maruful Haque's team has been pulled from the beginning of the league. He also scored two hat-tricks. He scored all three of the team's goals in a 3-3 draw against Saif Sporting on February 24.

Second hat trick on March 17. This time 3 goals from Thankgod in a 4-2 win against North Baridhara. But thankgod has come into the discussion more than goals mainly because of his name. Thank God, I mean thank God!

He was born after having several sisters in a row. Finally, as they had a son, the parents named him Thankgod. After each goal, he raised his finger and thanked God.

Thank God for being the first in the race to become the highest goal scorer in Bangladesh. Chittagong Abahani can also thank the creator for getting Thank God. Chittagong Abahani scored a total of 39 goals in 22 matches. That is, more than half of the goals came from the feet of ThankGod.
