The national sport of the United States is baseball. In the United States alone, about 12 million people play baseball. Although almost the same sport, baseball is quite different from cricket. 

Baseball field and rules of play: 

Although cricket and football are played by eleven people, the number of players in a team in baseball is nine. The run was scored by touching four bases at four corners in a 90-foot rhombus-shaped field. Those who bat are called 'offense' team. And those who field are called 'defense' team. The pitcher who throws the ball for the defense team in this game is called a pitcher. And the batsman who bats for the offense team is called a hitter. Like bowlers and batsmen in cricket, the hitter's job is to deal with the balls thrown by the pitcher. Offense team heaters can stop at any base of the four corners if they wish. If any of the team's hitters hits the ball, They change places among themselves and take runs. If the defense can knock out three of the offensive team's hitters, Then an innings ends. The game was held in a total of nine innings. The team that scores more runs between the two teams in these nine innings wins. 

Baseball equipment:

The main equipment for playing baseball is four. Bat, ball gloves and helmet. The length of the wooden bat does not exceed 42 inches. The place where the ball is hit has a diameter of 2.75 inches. The weight ranges from 34 ounces to 36 ounces (963 grams to 1,021 grams). In professional baseball, the color of the ball is white. Its circumference is usually 9 to 9.25 inches. It weighs 141.85 to 148.83 grams. One type of special gloves without bat-ball is used. Besides, helmets have been in vogue for a long time. There are three general divisions: batting, pitching and fielding.

Baseball batting:

It is the job of the batting team to score runs by facing the balls thrown by the pitchers. Before the start of the game the hitters have to submit a line up to the field. According to that line-up, the offensive team has to field the hitters. There is no chance of changing this lineup. If the hitter fails to hit the ball three times in a row, it is called a strike or out. In that case new heaters will come.

Baseball pitching:

The defense team will be able to change the pitchers. Everyone can do pitching if they want. The job of the pitchers is to defeat the hitters in various tactics. Experienced pitchers usually pay more attention to speed. Pitchers can throw the ball at a speed of about 145 kilometers per hour.

Baseball fielding:

The defense team is in the field. Seven fielders in different positions on different fields. One pitcher catches the ball from behind the other hitter. Much like a wicket keeper. Two types of fielding are noticed like cricket. Offensive and defensive.
